About the Role
We are recruiting industry-experienced Mechanical Fitters for permanent opportunities to join our WA Iron Ore business. This opportunity will be offered on an 8 days on / 6 days off / 7 nights on / 7 days off roster and you will be reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor within the Fixed Plant team.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of the processing plant
-Ensuring clear communication across team members and to the Supervisor in regards to downtime and trouble areas;
-Following specific maintenance strategies and procedures;
-Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development;
-Ensuring that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed;
-Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes.
About You
Suitable candidates will hold the following:
-An Australian recognized Mechanical trade qualification
-Experience in fixed plant maintenance
-Highly safety focused
-Dedicated and enthusiastic
-Keen to learn with a willingness for self-improvement
-Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
