GHD’s Environmental Assessment team has a strong and increasing workload and we are looking for a talented Environmental Consultant to join us in delivering for our clients across all market sectors. Our current project portfolio includes undertaking environmental and ecological assessments, obtaining regulatory approvals and providing innovative environmental management solutions for government, industry and private sector clients across South Queensland and in collaboration with GHD colleagues across Australia. As an Environmental Approvals Consultant you will provide specialist environment expertise in obtaining project specific regulatory approvals and compliance within environmental standards. Your key roles and responsibilities will involve: Completing technical project work, desk based and field work in environmental assessment, planning and management to a high standard, ensuring client satisfaction. Designing and coordinating environmental assessments and studies. Budget, plan, and coordinate studies to fuel approval development. Build relationships with regulators and communicate approval timelines. Working across a broad range of market sectors, including infrastructure (such as road, rail, ports, pipelines and/or dams), utilities, renewables, oil and gas and mining. What you will bring to the team: A degree in Environmental Science or relative discipline 3-5 years experience in an Environmental Applications role particular in preparation of environmental impact assessments and regulatory planning and reports Technical knowledge and an established background in environmental assessment, planning and management. Familiar with Commonwealth and Queensland environmental legislation and policy.
