We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity for our client, a leading owner and operator of integrated resorts in Australia.
This role is crucial in the development and maintenance of network infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and security on a 24/7 basis across the company.
Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure network systems across the company
• Implement and manage Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNAC) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions.
• Configure and deploy Aruba Clear Pass for network access control and policy management.
• Provide Level 3 and 4 technical support, meeting service levels and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network systems within the broader IT infrastructure.
• Analyze user requirements and incidents to automate processing and suggest improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of capacity usage for key infrastructure components.
• Ensure adherence to legislative and company policies in relation to regulatory requirements.
• Develop budget plans, providing pricing and justifications for network infrastructure to meet business and governance needs.
• Troubleshoot network problems, identify and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor network performance, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks.
• Work closely with other IT staff to ensure network security and compliance with industry regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in network engineering, particularly in configuring and managing network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Proven experience in managing Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNAC) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions.
• Demonstrated knowledge in cloud networking protocols across platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wireless networks, including Aruba and Cisco Meraki.
• Understanding of other infrastructure technologies, such as WINTEL, Linux, EUC, and Virtualization.
• Strong grasp of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting.
• Experience with network security and network management tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Aruba Certified) are highly desirable.
