The Centre and Role This lovely 40 place centre located in the suburb of Gladesville is seeking a Certificate III/Diploma Educator AND an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join their team! These positions have the flexibility to offer part-time or full-time hours and can also be open with the age group you would like to work with! The centre has a strong focus on internal development and progression so therefore there is also the opportunity to be a Room Leader. They also offer monthly RDOs for their full-time staff.
The service strives to collaborate with families and the community to provide the highest quality care for all children. They have a strong focus on advancing children's education so they have a solid foundation for their later years. To do this, educators plan weekly intentional learning outcomes as well as give children room to explore and develop through interest and play based learning. Further to this, the service is also equipped with innovative indoor and outdoor environments and the newest resources to ensure children and staff have the best environment to collaborate within.
The service is open Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
Responsibilities of the Position

As a Certificate III/Diploma Educator OR ECT your responsibilities will include:


Assisting and working alongside the Room Leader to implement programming leading to successful learning outcomes for the children
Communicating positively with the children and families
Preparing, implementing and evaluating a developmentally appropriate program for individual children and groups
Be reliable, respectful and work constructively with your colleagues and other professionals
Ensuring a trusting relationship is developed with families through regular, honest and open communication regarding the care of their child
Have a sound knowledge of current child care practices, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework

Essential criteria

A Certificate III or Diploma or Bachelors of Early Childhood Education and Care OR ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
A current Working With Children Check
Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and QIP
Proven experience in a leadership role in the Early Childhood setting
