Job description: Key AccountabilitiesYour role will coach and mentor personnel in safety excellence whilst ensuring risk management processes are in place for the monitoring and reduction of health and safety risks.Specific focus on the following: Actively encourage and support the FQM ethos of Bolder, Smarter, Driven, Together Strive for the continuous improvement of our Health and Safety tools, processes and strategies by identifying opportunities and assisting line management in implementation Support the Health and Safety Superintendent in the management of incident notification and internal reporting Facilitate and assist the incident investigation process to help ensure investigation reports and findings are delivered within specified timeframes InControl event maintenance and InControl administration Participate in pre-start and toolbox meetings Facilitate Safety Committee meetings Collect, analyse and present KPIs, data and statistics for both safe work and safety events to inform a targeted approach to safety improvements Undertake audits to verify compliance Participate in safety document reviews to ensure documents are compliant, effective and useful to those that need to use them Assist the Safety and Health Representatives to be autonomous, proactive and encourage an open dialogue Manage key project initiatives as directed by the Health and Safety Superintendent Assist with the implementation of the Health and Safety Plan Inform H&S Superintendent of situations that require management input or awareness, seek feedback and ensure that it is communicated to the person of origin Provide safety leadership, advice, and support to all levels at RNO to ensure that they understand and manage their health and safety risks and responsibilities. Skills, Knowledge and ExperienceEssential Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety Extensive experience and knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, standards and codes of practice Extensive experience and knowledge of root cause analysis and reporting techniques Extensive experience within a mining and processing plant environment Experience with Health and Hygiene Monitoring Strong communication skills (written and spoken) Preferable:Experience with INX products, especially InControl (System Administrator would be highly regarded) Experience with DMIRS SRS database Ability to positively influence people Exceptional attention to detail Advanced computer skills Proven track record in running effective Safety operations Driven and motivated with demonstrated efforts at self-development Strong work ethic, high level of enthusiasm and autonomy,…
