Overview:
As a Commercial Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing civil construction projects valued at over $20 million. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in commercial project management within the civil and construction sectors.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee large-scale civil projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and safety standards.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and addressing any deviations promptly.
Negotiate contracts, manage procurement, and handle financial aspects of projects, including cost estimation, forecasting, and reporting.
Mitigate risks and resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle, maintaining proactive communication with all stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate successful project delivery and identify future opportunities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
5+ years of proven experience in local commercial project management within the civil and construction industries, specifically handling projects exceeding $20 million in value.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, techniques, and practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
PMP or relevant certifications preferred.
