Delaware North’s Mindil Beach Casino Resort, the Northern Territory’s premier hospitality venue, is now looking for a high-calibre dynamic Chinese specialty Head Chef, to lead our iconic Chinese restaurant, Dragon Court. You will be a talented culinary professional with a big personality and the ambition to match. Our Head Chef is very much the essence of our restaurant, so we need you to be filled with confidence and flair! As a measured leader, our successful candidate will possess traditional style Asian cooking abilities with previous experience with Chinese dishes, as well as being able to create simple, clean dishes to emphasize on authentic Chinese cuisine. This position also requires previous management experience in the kitchen being able to train, manage costs and effortlessly lift the hearts of our high performing team. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in managing a culinary operation in a premium Chinese restaurant. Sound knowledge and experience in Chinese cuisine in a stand-alone restaurant or 5-star hotel. Extensive experience in menu planning & design. Proven ability in managing, developing, and motivating a diverse team of chefs and cooks. A passion for food and creative flair. Dedicated to maximise and adapt local produce to an outstanding menu Experience with Banquets and Yum Cha would also be highly regarded Friendly & flexible disposition that encourages client and customer feedback and always demonstrate a high level of professionalism. Availability to work nights, weekends & public holidays according to business demands.
