Mixed Cattle Farmer – Avago Station – Northern Territory
A position of Mixed Cattle Farmer is available at Avago Station, cattle station located 300 km South West of Katherine, NT, on the Sturt Plateau.
Avago is looking for a person with a minimum of 4 years industry-experience able to plan, organize, coordinate and perform farming operation such as:
- Involvement in the breeding program, performing pregtesting and bull assessment
- Mustering on quadbikes and horses, alone or with the help of helicopters
- Monitoring water performing bore runs
- Monitoring feeding and nutrition program, performing lick run, farming involvement and production of crops and forage, controlling weeds
- Involvement in data collection and analysis and farm technology systems (Koolcollect software)
- Monitoring market activity
- Operating wide range of machinery
- Welding, building, maintaining infrastructure
This position is a FULL TIME position and the salary range is $65,000-75,000, regarding experience and skills.
The successful candidate is able to work in close relationship with the owner and the crew, is able to receive and give direction. The successful candidate has knowledge of the KoolCollect software. An accreditation to Pregnancy Test is a plus.
Driving license is compulsory. HR License is a must. MC license preferred.
