Reporting to the Site Safety & Health Manager, the Safety Superintendent- Learning from Incidents (LFI) will coach and advise the line organisation in conducting comprehensive investigations of incidents.
The accountabilities and responsibilities for this role include:
- Provide governance over the LFI process on site to ensure adherence to industry and Anglo American requirements
- Ensure LFI process is integrated into other areas of the operation
- Facilitate investigations and support investigations facilitated by external parties
- Proactively communicate learnings from site investigations across all levels of the operation
- Support the implementation of LFI training programs to build site capabilities
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of investigation information into Isometrix
- Provide guidance on incident classification, including coaching of the line in selection of correct consequence, ratings, agency and mechanism
