This newly created role in our internal Finance team will play a vital role in supporting our quickly growing business. Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with our CEO, you’ll deliver on the day-to-day financial activities with ease. If you’re an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for a varied and interesting role that offers quick career progression and a supportive working environment, then this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- End to end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including employee expense claims
- Month-end journals including accruals
- Support with processing payroll, bonuses and commissions for employees
- Bank reconciliations
- Managing our internal mailbox and responding to queries in an efficient and friendly manner
- Ad-hoc reporting, typically using MS Excel
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role, with prior experience working in a corporate or professional environment
- Xero and Xero payroll experience preferred but not essential
- Highly organised and a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Quick and keen to learn, you’re able to pick up processes and systems easily and even help to document as we build
- High level of confidentiality
- Strong initiative, and a solution-focused mindset. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll search until you find it
