About the role
We are currently seeking an energetic and well-rounded professional Conference & Event Organiser to lead our Banquet Team. As a Conference & Event Organiser you will be instrumental in the implementation and maintenance of Stamford Plaza Brisbane’s philosophy of providing exemplary service for all Conferences and Events.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in leading Banquet Operations in a 5 star Hotel environment
Must have an RSA Certificate
Minimum Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent
Skills and Responsibilities:
Coordinate services for conference, events, functions, banquet and seminars.
Effectively supervise and motivate your team
Be organised and have an eye for detail
Be able to multi task in a fast paced environment while constantly maintaining a calm demeanour
Strong time management skills
Ability to build strong customer relationships
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
A strong understanding of budgeting and effective rostering and cost management
Ability to work effectively with the catering sales team to achieve a shared goal
Flexibility of working afternoons and evenings including weekends and public holidays

The salary for this role is $70,000 plus superannuation.
