The Role:
Based at our Beverage Can End Plant in Ballarat, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of machinery involved in the production of can ends.
Salary: $90,000 + Super
Responsibilities:
• Can Endmaking Expertise: Utilize your specialized knowledge to set up, operate, and maintain the can endmaking machinery efficiently.
• Quality Control: Ensure the production of high-quality can ends by conducting regular quality checks and making necessary adjustments to the machinery.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the production process, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operation.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery in optimal working condition, reducing the risk of breakdowns and extending equipment life.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the production team to optimize overall plant efficiency and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Training and Development: Provide training to junior staff members and assist in their skill development to enhance the overall team's capabilities.
Qualifications:
• Mechanical technical certification or diploma – license to work as a fitter.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in can endmaking or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining can endmaking machinery. Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and preventive maintenance is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
