Umech Pty Ltd is a specialist multi-discipline contractor providing process piping, automation and instrumentation services for critical processes installations. Primarily servicing the research, education and photovoltaic industries. Umech’s head office and workshop is located in Alexandria, Sydney providing contracting services throughout Australia and NZ.
Umech provides Engineering, design, detailing, Project management and installation of specialty piping for Ultra high purity, Toxic, hazardous, Hydrogen and flammable gases. Umech delivers turn key innovative and simple solutions for complex systems.
We are currently looking to hire a pipe fitter-welder experienced in stainless steel TIG welding tube fittings in Sydney. This position is on a full-time basis and with hourly rate of $38 -$50 per hour ($75,088 to $98,800 annually depending on experience) plus superannuation on offer.
Main Duties:
• Working with the process cooling water system and DI water loop
• Operating helium recovery systems and bulk gas reticulation systems from bulk tanks or dewars
• Fitting and assembling parts for machines
• Tig welding
• Orbital welding for specialty gas systems
• Instrumentation tube bending and swaging
Experience/Qualifications and Skills Required
• At least 3 years relevant experience in pipe fitting/welding
• Trade qualification desirable
• Skilled in TIG welding
• Ability to work with orbital welding stainless steel tube is essential
• Previous experience with rigorous quality assurance procedures and testing
• Ability to interpret and read piping drawings
• Have good communication skills.
