Campbells Quality Meats are now seeking to appoint a qualified and/or experienced Meat Production Worker to join our growing team for our operations in Traralgon, Victoria, on a full-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team environment, utilising your skills and experience to prepare and present meat products for general consumption.
Working as a Meat Production Worker, your role will predominantly involve processing carcases of slaughtered livestock, selecting, cutting, trimming, preparing and arranging meat for sale or supply, operating meat or smallgoods processing machines and managing the processes of production of smallgoods.
In particular, your daily responsibilities/tasks will include:
• Preparing meat for sale by removing bones, trimming fat and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size for display or as ordered.
• Selecting and preparing meat to produce smallgoods.
• Operating machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat.
• Operating sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles and vats.
• Scheduling.
• Processing offal and tripe.
• Moving carcasses to chillers and freezers.
• Loading meat products into trucks.
• Packing boned and sliced meat into cartons.
• Inspecting and grading poultry for quality purposes.
• Cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidates for these opportunities will have:
• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
• Experience in the various responsibilities listed above.
• Demonstrated strong commitment to excellence and quality.
• Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively, respectfully and collegially in a team environment.
• A great attitude!
