This role will see you coordinate mine planning activities and be accountable for delivery of Business Plan and Monthly Operating Plan mine planning inputs. A high level of strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in your success in this role. You will also be accountable for compilation and facilitation of the Aquila Mine schedule.
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, this key role will see you:
- Deliver best practice mining engineering services and support to the mine, supporting Zero Harm by ensuring compliance with all safety systems and legislation
- Plan and coordinate mine planning (weekly, short-range, MOP/BP) and production review meetings
- Monitor, analysis and reporting of mine performance and manage projects
- Contribute to the effective management of ventilation, gas, mine planning, and technical projects
- Support designated process coordinators and interact effectively with the Operations team
- Identify mine site productivity and process improvement programs, and more generally to find and raise improvement ideas in areas such as safety, production, cost and efficiency
- Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site
