Your new role As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex systems and platform implementations in the Cloud, identifying and developing automation opportunities, and applying automated build and delivery and continuous integration practices in complex environments. You'll drive forward the delivery, engineering decisions and platform solution to align with the long-term strategic architectural vision. You'll ensure that platforms, systems, and services are engineered to facilitate the achievement of service objectives, including resiliency and scalability. You'll identify, develop, and lead the implementation of automation or optimisation opportunities, with a focus on cost, availability, and performance. You'll also lead large-scale implementation of platforms and services from inception through to production, maintaining quality documentation and procedures for the ongoing support of the platform. What you'll need to succeed At least 5 years of experience in a large enterprise organisation, preferably in Financial Services. Deep experience working with cloud-based services (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and strong scripting experience. Solid experience with Linux system implementation and management using automation frameworks like Ansible or Puppet. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and experience engaging with multiple stakeholders. What you'll get in return A competitive daily rate.
