The person will possess initiative and drive to implement health and safety solutions. Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness and support both Otraco and the Client. Specifically the role is accountable for: COMPANY VALUES Work in accordance with the Otraco values and demonstrate commitment, active involvement and leadership regarding safety, client, people and financial accountabilities. OVERALL OBJECTIVES Liaise with the HSET Manager, Operations Manager and Regional Superintendents regarding all Health and Safety related issues. Ensure all Health and Safety systems and work processes are present on sites and are consistent with Company, client and relevant statutory requirements. Attend and contribute to HSET meetings and inspections in order to improve performance in the workplace. Responsible for performing Health and Safety audits across nominated sites and assist with follow-up actions as required. Report all incidents, hazards, unsafe work conditions and equipment immediately. Coach and assist advisors when necessary TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES Assist with research and development projects to improve Health and Safety performance, including the monitoring and communication of improvement initiatives Facilitate change management and risk assessments for Otraco operations. Communicate with personnel at all levels, within the Company, with clients and external parties. Able to travel to site on a regular basis and where, required by Management at a moment’s notice Responsible for producing monthly reports of Health and Safety performance for nominated sites. Other responsibilities that may be required of the role as requested by the HSET Manager or the Operations Manager Where required, conduct and assist with risk assessments and Job Hazard Analysis Meet monthly Corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required of the role Identify safety discrepancies and implement appropriate solutions Make regular inspections with relevant client personnel, of mine operating areas and conditions, and present reports back to the client as necessary HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND TRAINING OBJECTIVES Revise and implement Corporate Health and Safety initiatives, as per the annual HSE Strategic Plan. Enter and maintain regional events in the INX InControl data base. Ensuring quality data is entered prior to close out of events.
