Position:
There is an open position for a Geotechnical Instrumentation Engineer / Monitoring Engineer within our Sydney office. Geotechnical Instrumentation knowledge and experience is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, the willingness to learn new technologies, and a commitment to working under company health & safety procedures. The position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors with a hands-on approach and has a problem-solving mindset.
The successful candidates will learn about cutting edge monitoring techniques and gain experience on major infrastructure projects in Sydney and NSW. The position will involve both field and office work, and with support from the project team, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring a network of geotechnical monitoring sensors.
Short terms travel to NSW and interstate will be necessary.
Desired skills:
- Engineering bachelor's degree or higher
- Hands on experience with Geotechnical monitoring instruments
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Problem solving mindset
- Always adopt safe attitude and respect safety procedures
- Experience working on & around construction sites is preferred but not mandatory
- Comfortable working both at the job site and office
- Can work independently, unsupervised and show initiative
- Good written English and communication skills
- Proven ability to stick at problems and successfully troubleshoot.
- Australian driver’s license
- Eligible to work unrestricted in Australia
