About this role EOI: Aircraft Maintenance Engineers – Mechanical, Structures, Avionics or Engines Blenheim and Whenuapai - NZ Te Whiwhinga a mahi | The opportunity Airbus Australia Pacific is currently seeking expressions of interest for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team based in Blenheim, NZ. Blenheim is a small city nestled at the top of the South Island of New Zealand, in the Marlborough region. Blenheim is one of the sunniest towns in New Zealand, blessed with a year-round sunny climate. Mō te tūranga | About the position We are currently seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers specialised in trades including Mechanical, Structures, Avionics, or Engines to join our team located in Blenheim, NZ. You will be responsible for carrying out technical work as directed, to a high standard and in compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the relevant Team Lead within the Maintenance organisation, as an AME you will be part of a wider team which provides aircraft and component maintenance, manufacture, repair and overhaul services for the NZDF and civil customers. The role works closely with the Maintenance Support team to ensure on-time service delivery to customers. You will have signatory responsibilities and may hold authorisations in compliance with regulatory requirements. Ko koe tēnei | About you To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have a strong attention to detail as well as good verbal and written skills. Applications must include a resume & cover letter, please ensure you provide details of your trade and if possible a copy of your qualifications. The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include: NZ recognised Aeronautical Engineering certificate - minimum Level 4 (or Level 3 for Trainees); or an NZ recognised Trade Certificate in a relevant industry, with a willingness to gain Aeronautical specific qualifications; or, for ex-military personnel, completion of technical training; or a CAANZ AME Licence Experience in aircraft maintenance, component maintenance and/or manufacturing processes Knowledge of, and ability to apply, relevant regulations, standards, policies and procedures A minimum of 3 years' post apprenticeship experience in Aviation or a relevant industry Significant knowledge of aircraft, components and/or their systems Ability to access and interpret all applicable technical data, drawings and bulletins You will be someone who works well in a team environment, is willing to learn from experienced professionals and have some fun on the way!
