About the Role
You will be leading the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement activities for new renewable energy projects and Octopus Australia’s existing renewable energy assets.
Our current portfolio consists of a mixture of early stage through to operating assets. You will also manage our ESG and impact reporting requirements.
The role will work closely with Octopus Australia’s Development team and Assets team to support the successful delivery of projects.
The role is based in Melbourne or Sydney – with site visits required to: our development sites, operational sites, stakeholders and communities across Australia.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and manage the delivery of stakeholder engagement, communication strategies and initiatives that promote Octopus Australia’s as a trustworthy, credible, and responsible partner with community stakeholders across both it’s operating and developing projects
- Coordinate and attend key external stakeholder engagement activities such as community consultation sessions, local events and provide sponsorship representation
- Prepare materials and provide updates for Octopus Australia’s projects in development, under construction, or in operations
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to collate and administer ESG and impact related data across Octopus Australia’s projects
- Manage ESG and impact reporting for development and operational asset
- Build trusting relationships with community stakeholders in support of Octopus Australia
- Administering and maintaining stakeholder database and facilitate the use amongst all project community interfaces from early development to operation to enable analysis of community stakeholder for it’s effectiveness
- Growing Octopus Australia’s social licence to operate within regional communities
