Our client is currently looking for an experienced maintenance manager who has a proven background in managing staff and able to ensure meat processing plant is running smoothly to ensure minimal downtime. You will be able to remain calm under pressure and sound technical knowledge.
Experience:
Experience in Meat or food processing plants
Sound technical knowledge
Good exposure to people management
Must be trade qualified
Key Responsibilities:
As the Maintenance Manager you will lead and manage a team of maintenance and engineering professionals.
Be on call or designate a response plan to address urgent maintenance issues and breakdowns, especially in the context of a meat processing facility where downtime can lead to product loss or safety concerns.
Oversee the diagnosis and repair of equipment and machinery breakdowns, ensuring that all repairs adhere to food safety standards.
The Maintenance Manager will manage day-to-day maintenance activities.
As the Maintenance Manager you will need to ensure all equipment and machinery is maintained to the required standard.
As part of your role as the Maintenance Manager you will be tasked with developing and implementing continuous improvement programs.
Manage the department's budget and ensure the effective use of resources.
Ensure that maintenance operations comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
