An experienced chef is required for a well-known and respected Mediterranean restaurant at the "The Spot" in Randwick.
Assisting the head chef as part of a team of approximately 5, your role will be to maintain the quality and solid reputation of the business whilst bringing updated and inspired new dishes to the menu in a cost effective manner.
You must have a thorough knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and be familiar with modern presentation styles as well as a passion for exploring new ideas.
As this is a fast paced venue you must be able to produce a high quality products and deliver in a timely manner.
Strong organisational and leadership skills are essential as is the ability to clearly and openly communicate with the business owner and floor management team.
Proven experience as a chef or sous chef in a similar role is required. Preferably you will have either European or British formal training or Australian training to at least a Level 3 Certificate in Hospitality backed by extensive inhouse experience in reputable dining venues.
You must have full rights to work in Australia, speak fluent English and be available to work weekends.
Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience together with tip share.
