We offer design assistance from an early stage, through to full detail design and construct of post-tensioned structure to the Australian Standard. We specialise in commercial development, mid to large residential development, underground car park structure and luxury home development.
About the role
PTX is seeking multiple candidates to join our team as a Civil Engineer on a full-time basis. We are seeking a talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing team. Civil Engineer will be part of our site management team and will be required to work onsite and in our office on most of our Building and Engineering projects. You will be required to conduct work onsite at a number of locations across Melbourne and nearby areas.
Responsibilities
• Plan project schedule and assign to subcontractor
• Report site issue to Design Engineer and Engineering Manager
• Assist Senior Engineer with current project and report to senior engineer
• Assist with client’s administrative requirements
• Assist Design Engineer with current project and report to Engineering Manager
• Assist Design department with obtain external certification
• Assist Design department with provide Building Surveyor with relevant documentation
• Assist Design department with handling of documentation on platforms such as Aconex and Procore.
• Assist Design department with checking of extensions and confirmation.
• Manger purchases and orders of materials for all live projects
• Manager logistics for all live projects
• Checking and approving of invoices from suppliers for all live projects
• Assist Design department in obtaining relevant requirement for engineering registration.
Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• At least 2+ years’ experience in civil design
• Knowledge in Engineering software such as RAM, AutoCAD, Bluebeam.
• Moderate computer skills.
• Customer service
• Great understanding of engineering, construction and architects design as well as construction process.
• Great communication and coordination skill
• Able to attend and participate in team / divisional activities, meetings, and day to day work activities demonstrating respect and consideration for individuals and their experiences and expertise;
• Communicate constructively to other team members and/ or company employees
• Good understand of logistics and stock management
• Able to be aware of and communicate to other employees and to the business, opportunities for improvement in processes, practices or procedures;
• Actively work with and support other team members and/or company employees to achieve business goals;
• Having ethical responsibility to self, team members and customers.
Salary and Benefits
• $ 60,000- $ 100,000 per annual (exclusive superannuation)
