JAE is a mechanical engineering business that specialises in the manufacturing and refurbishment of coal mining machines and equipment, in accordance with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications and government legislations.

JAE is searching for a Management Accountant to join their finance team in Parkhurst.

These tasks include:
- Preparation of financial reports including annual financial statements.
- Forecasting and annual budget (P&L & Balance Sheet).
- Management Expense analysis, cost allocation, budgeting and expense monitoring to support cost centre owners.
- Maintain the integrity of financial data in the finance system (SAP General Ledger & Cash Matching modules), ensure that both Group and - Local ledgers are maintained and balanced across Business areas.
- Contribute to the development of business rules, service standards and work plans for financial management and provide key input into the evaluation of business performance.
- Management of accounts preparation and month end close processes.
- Preparation of payroll tax and workers compensation reconciliations.
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly/quarterly business and instalment activity statements.
- Provide information to CEO Team to assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax return for companies and trusts.
ATO registration matters, ASIC matters if required.
- Accountable for the effective identification and management of risk and compliance via the implementation of appropriate management policies and procedures.

To be considered you will need a relevant degree or higher with at least two years minimum relevant employment experience.

This is a full time role with an immediate start available. Competitive remuneration package available to the successful candidate.
