Quickway Constructions Pty Ltd are currently seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the National Commercial/Contracts Manager with the development, interpreting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts and processes on behalf of the business
Tasks and Duties:
• Ensure accurate and timely cost reporting at both project and company level
• Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place
• Carry out cost management including accurate monthly forecasting
• Maintain deadlines in line with monthly commercial calendar
• Help ensure that any contracts entered into have appropriate terms and conditions, with commercial risks identified
• Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions
• Build and maintain good client relationships
• Be responsible for subcontract negotiation and financial accounting
• Liaise with the client, client representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments
• Contribute towards effective interaction between the Tendering Team and the Project Delivery Teams
• Work with site management to forecast predicted spend and cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with target
Skills and Abilities:
• High level of written and oral communications
• Holds relevant third level qualifications
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management software, including advanced understanding of AutoCad design software
• Ability to follow directions and work with others
• Delegation of duties to team members
• Awareness of the requirements of fellow and subordinate staff members
