We are currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators to assist with the efficient running of the dispatch functions of the James Hardie warehouse by receiving and delivering our customers’ orders on time and in full.
• $70,000 base annual salary
• Full time role based in Harrison Rd, Forrestfield WA

About the Role:
• Operate forklift – load and transfer products from/to various locations within the warehouse
• Picking, stacking, and sorting stock and accessories
• Participate in monthly and annual stock takes
• Housekeeping duties including sweeping the warehouse using ride-on sweeper, and picking up strapping and dunnage from containers, broken pallets
• Sorting through damaged stocks and rearranging leaning stacks (ad hoc)
• Loading containers with chassis platforms
• Cutting back damaged sheets
• Removing stock from sea containers, recording of stock being removed from sea containers (verifying accuracy / blind unloads), as well as opening and closing sea container doors
• Moving containers within the yard once unloaded
• Picking customer orders and filling out dockets
• Ensure all work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner
About you
• Have a strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift in a fast-paced distribution environment
• Valid Australian Forklift license
