Your new role The Senior / Principal Civil Engineer (Defence) is responsible for managing moderate to large scale projects, managing the Defence Civil Infrastructure Team, and growing the broader Northern Territory business. This can be a fully remote role from any city in Australia. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will manage project resources, budgets, and timelines, and enhance client and working relationships through project work.
This role also includes supporting the preparation of proposals and presentations to clients to win work.
The role requires technical and professional expertise in understanding client needs and delivering accordingly, performing engineering calculations, modelling and design functions, as well as financial and project management skills in technical quality, budget, and program.
The candidate should monitor time, cost, and quality of work, review client satisfaction, and have business development and client management skills in key relationship management, proposals/project plans for key opportunities, prepare and manage bids/proposal and marketing materials.
The candidate should network quickly throughout the global business to strengthen capability and value for clients.
Leadership skills are also required, including being passionate about contributing to the Defence of Australia, mentoring junior staff, passing on knowledge within your own area of expertise, and being confident in your own ideas.
The candidate should also demonstrate a personal interest in the development and success of all staff in your project teams, organise group activities, delegate work to develop the skills of your project team, and provide recognition for great performers.
