Our workforce consists of qualified Boilermakers, Welders, Riggers, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Project & Construction Managers, Estimators, Workshop Foreman, Procurement Officer, Administration team.
We are seeking welders to join our busy structural steel fabrication workshop in Townsville.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
• Be Trade Qualified Welder (First Class) or
• Ability to pass AS/NZS 2980 weld testing criteria
• Work with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Eye for detail and pride in your work
• Current forklift ticket
• Current Drivers License
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime and some weekends
• Willingness to do shift work (days/nights or rotation)
• Commitment to safety
• Experience in light, medium and heavy fabrication
• Proficient is the use of Air arc and Oxy fuel torch for fabrication and repair tasks
• Operate crane hoists to move small loads
• Measuring parts to replicate without drawings
• Problem solving- Can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner or develop alternative solutions
• Shares Technical Skills expertise with others
• Teamwork- Balances team and individual responsibilities, supports others efforts to succeed
• Quality Management- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Ethics- Treats people with respect

- General welding duties including use of grinders, cutting (friction and gas cutting), welding (GMAW, TIG, stick), polishing, cropping, pressing, heat treatment and stress relieving of steels.
- Driving heavy vehicles if qualified
- Operation of crane/franna if qualified
$70,000 + penalties
