Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) is an Australian mining and exploration company with a highly strategic landholding, and two operating mines in New South Wales (NSW).
Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant. The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the historical town of Cobar.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician (Underground Mine Site) to perform both planned and unplanned electrical servicing and breakdown repairs including the reticulation of electrical power and communication on fixed plant in both surface and underground areas of the mine in line with the Electrical Engineering Control Plan (EECP).
These areas include the processing plant, hoisting and crushing systems, surface ventilation fans and electrical infrastructure within the body of the underground mine.
The roster for this position is a residential DIDO 7/7 roster.or FIFO 14/14 from Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all Electrical work is completed to a high standard in accordance with AS3000 and the site Electrical Engineering Control Plan (MECP)
• Perform electrical preventative maintenance tasks including statutory compliance inspections on all electrical infrastructure
• Perform accurate diagnostics and repair of electrical equipment in breakdown situations
• Perform PLC programming and fault finding
• Complete accurate recording & data entry within Pronto or any other software as required
• Perform requisitioning of parts from store as required
• Correctly tag with information tags damaged or repairable items for transport to repairers
• Maintain a good customer service focus to other departments
• Maintain a high housekeeping standard in the workshop and work areas and take accountability for PGM tooling
About you
Drawing upon your proven experience in minerals processing operations, you will be renowned for your strong focus and commitment to safety. Other desired skills and experience include:
• Electrical trades certificate
• NSW electrical supervisors’ certificate
• Possession of appropriate licensing required by the MECP
• Current NSW ‘C’ Class Drivers’ Licence or equivalent
• HV switching experience is desirable
• Possession of a Dogging ticket is desirable
• Possession of a Forklift ticket is desirable
• Demonstrated experience with electrical maintenance of electrical infrastructure items in a mining and / or processing environment is preferred
• Efficient knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Pronto and Citect
• Demonstrated ability to ensure safety of operational and maintenance personnel associated with electrical equipment maintenance
• Demonstrated strong personal commitment to personal and team safety
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and strong customer and team focus
