Our client has a proud tradition of growing and marketing high quality poultry meat to the Australian market. A vacancy has arisen for a Meat Breeder Manager to manage their breeder rearing and production flocks and to provide leadership to, and mentor the breeder team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of meat breeder production staff to achieve optimal productivity;
- Foster a culture of growth, compliance, and continuous improvement;
- Ensure adherence to biosecurity, welfare, safety, and quality systems;
- Oversee farm management training and development.
Requirements
At least five years’ experience in the management of broiler breeders;
Knowledge of the technical aspects of production such as lighting and feed programs and egg management;
A “hands on” approach to livestock management;
Leadership skills to ensure processes are adhered but with a view to continuous improvement;
Proactivity, forward thinking and planning.
