A Mental Health Nurse position is available in South West Sydney to join a supportive team. Your new company The non-for-profit organisation provides a diverse range of services for individuals, families, and communities. The services include one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; rehabilitation. The team are experienced, skilled, and motivated professionals who understand the challenges that are impacting individual life and the wider communities due to drug and alcohol dependency. Your new role
Supporting the health needs of the clients of the program through education, supporting drugs and alcohol treatments and through a nursing case management approach.
Assist clients with additional care, mental health and wellbeing.
Liaise with other specialists, external agencies and medical practitioners to support continuity of care.
What you'll need to succeed
Current professional registration with AHPRA.
General Nursing experience.
Preferred experience working with people with significant alcohol and other drug or mental health issues.
Preferred - Mental Health nursing experience.
Preferred - Community nursing including case management, group facilitation and/or health promotion.
Computer literacy includes understanding of MS Office Suite and the use of Client Management Systems.
The ability to obtain a suitable National Police check
