Our client is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to work at their busy sporting ground located in the heart of Perth's CBD. Supporting the Head Chef at our client's ground and supporting venues, delivering high-quality food across all areas including functions and events, and event day retail areas.
Main duties,
Prepare, cook, and present high quality dishes.
Improve the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
Assist with the management of health and safety.
Assist with the management of food hygiene practices.
Assist with the scheduling, management, and training of casual staff members.
Monitoring portion and waste control
Proactively assist the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
Coordinate food and product ordering and assist with stocktakes.
Overseeing the maintenance of the kitchen and food safety standards.
Utilise the Basware system for purchase orders and invoices.
Undertake other associated duties consistent with the standing and responsibilities of the position.
