Full Time Accountant Required
Betacarbon Pty Ltd is seeking a full time Accountant to join their team at Double Bay, NSW, 2028
Betacarbon Pty Ltd is a pioneering company at the forefront of environmental sustainability, specializing in carbon capture projects. Recognizing the importance of mitigating carbon emissions, our company actively participates in initiatives supported by the government. We specialize in converting Australian Carbon Credits Units (ACCUs), issued by the government for carbon capture projects, into a more versatile and tradable form known as Australian Carbon Tokens (BCAUs).
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights andrecommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and financial regulations. Manage the financial reporting process, including month-end and year-end close activities.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal professionals to support audits, tax filings, and legal compliance.
• Assess and optimize financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support investor relations activities as required. Support ongoing corporate entity restructuring and capital raising initiatives under guidance from senior leadership.
• Supervise and mentor a team including in-house staff and external bookkeepers
An Ideal Candidate Must Be:
• You flourish in dynamic settings, readily embracing and executing the tasks required to propel the growth of an early-stage company.
• You have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• You have a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards. Experience in audit is a plus.
• You have expertise in financial management systems and tools, experience with Xero is a plus.
• Driven and Hard Working
• Organized, committed and proactive
• Able to work as part of a team and to strict deadlines
• Driving license essential
Experience Required: At least 2 years in similar field
Good Salary Package: ($130,000 + Super)
