Main purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Northcrest Project Manager, this role is responsible for assisting with the delivery of the Northcrest land development project. Northcrest is a master planned urban community located centrally in Darwin and requiring significant infrastructure works over the next ten years.
Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per annum
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and review project documentation including planning documents, design drawings, specifications and quality documents
- Attend site meetings and site inspections
- Attend relevant meetings with consultants, government and project stakeholders
- Project reporting and administration
- Contribute to project management and contract administration
- Provide ad hoc assistance to Northcrest Project Manager
- Undertake civil engineering site inspections on the project, including verifying compliance with technical specifications and safety standards
- Coordinate maintenance and repair works on established infrastructure, including developing schedules and overseeing works to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards
- Undertake research and provide directions to test and assess the quality of construction materials with a focus on evaluating the quality and properties of materials for suitability to use on the project
- Collect data for the review and assessment of road safety and traffic patterns and to analyse results and provide recommendations that will enhance the overall road infrastructure network
- Develop and outline internal work programs and review them for accuracy, sufficiency and feasibility
- Collect and analyse data and undertake engineering computations related to project infrastructure
- Estimate time in motion for labour, plant and equipment, and material to check against budget costs
- Ensure that projects are completed meeting technical specifications, authority regulations and contractual requirements.
