Currently, we are in partnership with a Victorian agency dedicated to emergency services, embarking on an exciting journey of cloud migration and transformation. This role requires 1-2 days a week onsite presence in Blackburn North Vic and possibly more days whenever required. We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Technical Project Manager, specializing in cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, for a 6-month contract role. This position is pivotal in overseeing our cloud migration projects, transitioning from on-premises infrastructure to Azure and multi-cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead public and private cloud platform build deliveries, with a focus on Public Cloud Enterprise Landing Zone delivery.
- Ensure alignment with Azure CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework) and WAF (Web Application Firewall) in delivering cloud solutions.
- Drive standardization of shared and reusable public cloud services for enterprise usage.
- Experience in Colo Private Cloud Platform build delivery is desirable.
- Manage cloud migrations, including VM Ware and Oracle Databases, from on-premises to multi-cloud environments.
- Conduct workload migration analysis, wave planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Implement effective change management and hypercare post-migration.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to cloud infrastructures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure.
- Solid background in public and private cloud platform delivery, preferably with Azure CAF and WAF aligned experience. Oracle Public Cloud delivery experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud migrations, particularly from on-premises to multi-cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of workload migration processes and change management.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Adept at problem-solving and technical decision-making.
