We are currently looking for a qualified Architectural Draftsperson for a full-time position.
Tasks Include:
• Understanding client requirements and develop preliminary sketch for their approval
• Preparing building designs and highly detailed working drawings, sketches and specifications by hand or using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications to show details including elevation, plans, materials, car parking, plumbing, landscaping and layouts
• Interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice
• Reviewing tender documents according to the company standards
• Calculating the materials needed, manpower, construction cost, and project completion date
• Interacting with local government organisations for permissions and approvals
• Assisting Architects to ensure that architectural specifications are properly followed
• Collaborating with other divisions to secure new projects
• Monitoring and maintaining project programs and schedule
• Preparing contract documentation and project report for clients and management
• Maintaining the project documentations according to company standards and laws
Minimum Requirement
• A graduate in a related field
• Solid AutoCAD and ArchiCAD Skills
• Strong ability to produce working drawings and specifications
• Sound knowledge of construction and contemporary design
• Experience in documentation of DA’s and construction details
• Sound knowledge of BCA and Australian Standards
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
