POSITION
We have a full-time position for a Farm Inspector in Innisfail, QLD 4860.
SKILLS
The position requires you to have at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role as the farm inspector is to inspect the banana plantation and produce to ensure healthy fruit production in compliance with our business, food safety, and industry standards.
DUTIES
The position will require you to undertake the following duties:
• Consultancy and planning with farm manager to meet objectives.
• Ensuring banana packaging complies with, Food Safety, Industry and Quarantine standard.
• Inspecting and grading bananas to meet sale requirements.
• Ensuring packing facility remains in clean and operational.
• Monitoring harvested bunches entering packing facility for damage, quality and size for suitability for sale.
• Monitoring the grading bananas as to quality, grade and presentation.
• Ensuring all bananas packed for hard green condition meet the hard-green condition requirements.
• Ensuring that required standards of hygiene are observed at storage, processing and packing facilities and in transport vehicles.
• Checking final packed bananas to ensure meets the required standards.
• Ensuring that packed bananas are stored at the correct cold room temperatures.
• Ensuring and enforcing compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
• Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.
SALARY
The annual salary offered will be $55,000 to $70,000 based on your experience.
