Channel Green Group is an established supplier of a range of food packaging, offering an extensive range of paper and plastic takeaway containers to retail and wholesale customers.
We are looking for a talented Accountant to join our team in playing an integral part to our core business of delivering professional services to our clients. Your duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Preparing financial statements and reports on a monthly basis for presentation to Directors and other related parties to assist in decision making process.
- Month-end reconciliation and maintaining accounts registers for various business clients.
- Perform bookkeeping functions which includes transaction entries, journal entries, and payroll processing.
- Timely preparation and processing of all invoices in the system.
- Dealing with accounts payables and accounts receivables.
- Analysing and processing of Business Activity Statements and superannuation contributions as per ATO compliance.
- Preparation and formulation of financial and operation budget.
- Attend external and internal training seminars to develop and maintain personal and professional skills.
- Ensure that financial statements should be understandable, relevant, accurate, and reliable.
- Monitor and update cash flow schedules and make a forecast.
- Examining operational costs and organizations’ income and expenditure and report on variances and unusual movements.
- Analyse all accounts, compare them to previous months and note any unusual movements.
- Review and check company’s monthly balance sheet, income statements, and cash flow statement generated by accounting system.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in Accounting/ Finance function
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce / Finance and/or related discipline
- Demonstrated financial accounting skills and knowledge
- Analytical skills with sound conceptual and research skills
- An ability to deal with competing projects and priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong skills in Excel (VLOOKUP a minimum);
- Strong accounting software skills, preferably MYOB AccountRight
