THE COMPANY:
Power Control Engineers (PCE) is a specialist electrical engineering consultancy servicing industrial sites across Australia; from mining, port and heavy industrial sectors, to manufacturing, food processing and utilities. We are experienced, industry based electrical engineers providing practical power engineering solutions; delivering excellence and value to our clients.
THE POSITION:
The role is to provide direct technical input and customer support across a broad range of industrial power applications. Applicants will have demonstrated technical expertise in electrical power systems, as well as developed skills in managing customer relationships and commercial outcomes.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years post graduate experience in industrial power system design;
2. Limited experience leading projects and mentoring small teams of electrical engineering resources;
3. A working knowledge of power system modelling;
4. Excellent report-writing and tendering / estimating skills; and
6. The ability to deliver commercial outcomes on technical projects.
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND ASSOCIATIONS:
• Working knowledge of software assisted overhead line design, power tools for windows (PTW) and / or ETAP software packages;
• Working knowledge of earthing system design, protection coordination, LV control and basic PLC systems;
• Registered Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) - Institute of Engineers Australia;
