Leidos Australia have a great permanent full-time opportunity for a talented Linux System Support Engineer to join our team in Canberra and support our exciting classified programs.
Working within a small motivated team, you will lead or assist system administrator activities in a dynamic and collaborative workplace that encourages innovation, with a work scope that provides a real sense of purpose. As the Linux System Support Engineer you will write support & security documentation, and work cohesively and communicate effectively with project, technical and engineering staff, and stakeholder groups. Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform and coordinate system monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting and the generation of Problem/Incident tickets. Support the provision of proactive and reactive support including configuration updates.
- Supports the reliability of the system by using standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system configuration, backups, and restoring data where necessary. This includes development of scripts to automate tasks.
- Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures
- Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures and maintain technical documentation
- Application management and deployment
