We have full-time opportunitiy available for a Vessel Master IV to join the NRMA Marine team, working across a 7 day per week roster, where you will be responsible for the safe, clear and diligent management of the vessel and crew, while the vessel is being prepared for operation, is underway or finishing its operations, to ensure the day to day operations attain the standards required.
Specifically, you will be required to:
- Ensure the safe navigation and operation of the vessel complying with maritime regulations and company guidelines
- Maintain and update vessel systems and maintain accurate paperwork on the vessel
- Mange the crew, crew attendance and performance
- Ensure the overall satisfaction and safety of passengers on the vessel including directing the Mate, Deckhands or Boat Hosts as appropriate in their primary roles and duties
- The enforcement of vessel security including managing security threats, breach reports, emergency situations and security screening
- Manage the crew to ensure the vessel is clean, safe in good order for service
- Manage the crew compliance, including vessel and land-based training and drills, compliance with maritime regulations, Code of Conduct requirements and Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Have full knowledge of the Safety Management Systems while promoting and reporting on a safe work culture.
