The Purpose:

As a Product Analyst the purpose of this role is to provide analytical support within the Product Capability and Integration function of the AP+ Business Payments team.

The role will deliver support for key projects and strategic initiatives focused on future business payment products, capability development and enhancements across the Business Payments portfolio.   The role will focus on supporting existing account to account payments products as well as extending product capabilities to support corporate B2B Payments more broadly and includes integration of Business Payments products with other AP+ products and capabilities. This role focuses on supporting the growth of Business Payments including bill payment and e-invoicing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Understanding high-level business and payment message flows, creating use cases and provide input into product requirements and specifications including ISO20022 message usage guidelines for real time payments products.
  • Supporting the development of Business Payment products including B2B Payments, B2C Payments, bill payments and e-invoicing.
  • Assisting with the creation, evaluation and detailed analysis of product and capability development and enhancements, assessing feasibility and providing recommendations internally as well as externally to relevant governance committees.
  • Supporting the creation and ongoing maintenance of documented product requirements and specifications.
  • Providing input on product design including technical feasibility and implications for underlying payment scheme infrastructure.
  • Support end to end analysis of key payment flows including data usage and operational impacts for AP+ member banks.

In order for you to be successful in the role, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated work history in a payment’s environment / organisation.
  • Robust work experience working in Account-to-account payment Products
  • Proven experience in end-to-end product management of account-to-account products or services specifically New Payments Platform (NPP Payments) or BPAY Payments, with exposure to relevant technologies and tools, across web and native mobile app product development
  • Experience in B2B Payments, B2C Payments, bill payments and e-invoicing.
  • Proven strong ability to converse with a range of stakeholders including end-users at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven examples of leading a product from idea to launch and beyond.
  • Detailed understanding of real-time payments and/or BPAY payments at a systems or operational level would be an advantage.
  • Detailed understanding of payment process flows and messaging.
