Waste Initiatives is an Australian-owned and operated company that is one of Australia’s leading Waste Equipment suppliers with over 4 decades of expertise and currently experiencing rapid growth.

The role will require a dynamic, flexible, individual who is willing to be trained in project management including full project life cycle responsibility. A strong focus will be on your ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to manage multiple parties and be involved in stakeholder management and provide excellent customer service.

The Project Coordinator will be working alongside our current Senior project managers, to manage the coordination, purchasing, logistics, and installation of waste management equipment. They must be proficient with IT and excellent at communicating with customers. Preference will be given to candidates that have CAD design experience.

What the Role Includes( After training):

  • Learn to take the job on from when the sale is made after project handover all the way to delivery & installation signed off by the client
  • Single point of contact for the client throughout the delivery and installation phase
  • Placing Purchase Orders with Suppliers
  • Managing Import shipments including logistics and monitoring supplier quality and   inspections
  • Co-ordination of installation with subcontract install teams
  • Documentation control and process management

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Graduate or similar qualification or experience in Project management
  • Must have some Mechanical aptitude
  • Willing to be trained
  • Highly organized and able to plan and execute daily.
  • Able to manage multiple deliverables and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Process Driven and able to develop systems and programs for continuous improvement.
  • Proactive in following up and staying ahead of the project program.
  • Demonstrate a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget, with great attention to detail.
