POSITION SUMMARY
To become the technical SME on Harvest B’s manufacturing processes. To manage projects to improve production efficiency, quality and bring onboard new capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Support the production team on shift as the first point of contact for technical problem solving.
? Optimise extrusion, drying and milling processes to maximise efficiency and minimise waste
? Identify, plan and implement process improvements
? Report daily and weekly KPI’s
? Proactively identify and mitigate safety hazards in the workplace
? Train team members to effectively operate manufacturing equipment
? Develop and document manufacturing processes and settings for Harvest B’s products
? Conduct experiments and trials in accordance with documented protocols and record results as required
FOOD SAFETY PROGRAM & MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
? Once implemented, maintain HACCP requirements and related food safety and food standard regulations to manufacturing
best practice.
? Conform to Harvest B’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
? Ensure food presents well.
? Completion and review of relevant Food Safety records.
? Ensure staff presentation and customer service is of a high standard.
? Ensure the production maintenance cleanliness and health standards are being maintained.
? Ensure product identification and traceability is maintained.
? Member of the Recall Committee.
KEY SKILLS
? Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to plan, initiate and deliver change.
? Clear understanding of maintaining food standards.
? Proven ability to streamline production capabilities and reduce manufacturing costs.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Excellent computer skills
EXPERIENCE
? 4+ Years experience in a Process Engineering role in Food or Pharmaceutical manufacturing
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering
