We're seeking experienced network engineers for the technology division of a fast-growing security company with expertise in access control and integrated technology solutions.
A Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining computer networks and Control Systems. The job involves creating solutions for new or existing networks, as well as crafting instruction manuals to assist employees in utilizing the network and resolving common problems.
1. Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
2. Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, Access Control, Structured cabling, Load balancers, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
3. Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
4. Monitoring network performance, vulnerability and ensuring system availability and reliability.
5. Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
6. Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
7. Providing network programming in support of business needs.
8. Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation related to computer networks.
9. Ensuring network firewalls and security are up to date.
10. Responsible for providing specifications for inquiry costing and evaluation.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field of study with a network engineering focus.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure network hardware. Knowledge of Simple network management protocol (SNMP, ICMP, SSL)
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
Skills
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• Understanding of networking protocols (SNMP, ICMP, HTTPS).
• Solid understanding of the Switches, Routers, access control.
• Hands-on experience in monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
• Transformation knowledge (IMP & cloud edge)
• Installing, configuring, and monitoring an integrated enterprise network, including IEN Network access control (NAC), NVR, AV systems, modems, structured cabling, networking, PABX systems, switches, and routers.
• Troubleshooting Wi-Fi, switches, routers, TP-Link, and Hifan Link
• University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
Salary range $110,000- $135,000 per annum
