Our client, Personalised Support Services Pty Ltd, is offering an opportunity for the role of a full-time Accountant who will be assigned at Level 2/311 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong, Victoria 3175. This position assumes responsibility for providing support across the spectrum of financial facets integral to the company.

Personalised Support Services is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and a leading provider of disability support services in Melbourne, Australia. They have extensive experience and passion for bringing about positive change in people's lives. Their services include programs providing funds to people with disabilities and their families, empowering them to choose and pay for the support they require.

The Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
• Document all financial transactions and ensure the accuracy, safety, and compliance
of record-keeping at all times.
• Preparation of accounts, tax returns, Business Activity Statements, FBT, and other compliance matters.
• Plan, prepare, and execute financial statements with appropriate note disclosures.
• Assist the Managing Director in developing budget and benchmarking.
• Prepare information for financial statements and tax returns.
• Monitor cash flow, operating costs, and financial risks.
• Advise management on cost control and improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with the ATO and other government departments.
• Prepare reports and/or presentations to the Director and management by collecting, analysing, and summarising accounting information and trends and reviewing current business and financial conditions.
• Perform month-end close, processing relevant journals, general ledger and bank reconciliation, balance sheet, intercompany processing, revenue analysis, and statutory accounts production.
• Assist management with relevant ASIC reports and statutory tax-related compliances.
• Contribute towards process improvement and implementation and ensure client confidentiality and privacy.

The Requirements:
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Must have at least two years of relevant Australian experience within a commercial accountant capacity.
• Must have experience working with the XERO/Salesforce accounting software system.
• Must have intermediate knowledge and experience with company income tax and GST.
• Must be able to independently deliver tax advice including corporate tax and indirect taxation.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen to understand the dynamics of a complex evolving industry.
• Demonstrated experience in complex, integrated, computerised accounting systems.
• Demonstrated ability to methodically analyse sets of data.
• Detail-oriented, ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritise tasks.
• Ability to organise, plan, and manage, together with the capacity to prioritise for self and coordinate input from others to deliver timely results.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Salary:
• $86,200 per annum plus superannuation.
