One of our clients, Wahrings Restaurants, based in Wahring, VIC, needs a experienced and skilled chef to join their restaurant.
Eligibility Criteria:
• AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or associate degree.
• At least two years of relevant experience at same position.
• You must be an Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident or have proper working rights.
Main Tasks:
• Collaborate with head chef in menu planning and preparation of complex dishes for 100-seated restaurant.
• Adhered to rigorous health and safety standards.
• Manage stock control.
• Carrying out stock takes and food rotation procedures.
• Starting as early as 7am and finishing as late as mid-night.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and up to a high standard by following strict health and safety procedures and cleaning practices.
• Lead daily kitchen briefings to ensure smooth running and execution of lunch and dinner services.
• Maintaining record of temperatures and taking remedial action where necessary.
• Controlling portion size and monitoring unnecessary waste.
• Competent understanding of all regulations, food hygiene and company satisfactions.
Salary - $70,000+super
