Our client is looking for a Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability to join their Underwriting team in Sydney.
This is a full-time position, that will report to the Senior Underwriting Manager, Professional Liability.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Underwriter with an energetic mindset who is looking for further development, or a talented Underwriter who is ready to step up. Role Responsibilites:
The Senior Underwriter is responsible for underwriting both new and existing accounts in the PI portfolio of business within set underwriting guidelines, authority levels and service standards.
You will support business growth by building, managing and growing new and existing relationships with brokers.
Underwriting PI risks and carrying out all tasks associated with maintaining a book of business.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities particularly across product.
Maintaining and growing key broker relationships, through consistent visitation and interaction with existing and new brokers ensuring that a high level of customer service is provided. This includes a systematic approach to broker networking.
Underwriting of New Business and Renewals, focusing on retention of existing clients and growth in new business
Adhere to underwriting guidelines and business compliance, including policies and procedures
Keeping clients appropriately informed of all matters relating to their insurance and to prepare and execute policy documentation implementing client's instructions
Responding promptly and efficiently to enquiries and requests for action from clients and prospective clients
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience and a strong knowledge of the Australian insurance market.
Strong, demonstrable knowledge of products, underwriting practices, and market dynamics.
