Your new role
As an APS 6 Case Manager, you'll independently handle complex tasks guided by legislation, policies, and standards. You'll lead, plan, manage resources, and make decisions for your team. You have the autonomy to use initiative and judgement in interpreting legislation and policy to achieve outcomes.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage complex cases, analyse for early resolution options.
Gather required information and advice for effective matter resolution.
Utilise alternate dispute resolution methods and advocacy skills in line with model litigant principles.
Participate in client-led Case Conferences, Conciliations, and Hearings.
Prepare documentation outlining resolution options and outcomes for Case Management meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this position you will need to be an Australian Citizen, hold a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) or be willing to obtain one.
Candidates who are permanently employed in the APS are encouraged to apply as a section 26, labour hire, or NGO. Also, candidates who are currently working in a private sector with strong transferable skills, are highly encouraged to apply.
