It's no secret that Aegros is expanding rapidly! An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Supply Chain Operations to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Supply Officer, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling all Supply Chain Operations functions at Aegros, including Warehouse Operations, Inventory Control, 3PL Operations, Supply Chain Quality Compliance Management and Purchasing functions.

In this role you will be instrumental in the Management, maintenance, and final selection of all Aegros Supply Chain operations to ensure delivery, on time and as per the requirements of both external and internal customers.

What you will be involved in………

  • Ensuring all Supply Chain Operations activities across Aegros are conducted safely and in accordance with applicable laws and as per Aegros policies and procedures and GMP requirements
  • Developing and implementing goals, objectives, and a strategic plan for Aegros Supply Chain Operations
  • Building and managing the Supply Chain Operations team to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operations in a 24/7 operating environment
  • Defining key supervisory processes to ensure strict adherence to the Code of GMP and Aegros Corporate Standards and Site License conditions
  • Ensuring appropriate lifting equipment is obtained and maintained in an acceptable condition across Aegros warehousing facilities
  • Ensuring purchase orders are accurately placed in a timely manner as required by the Aegros Integrated Business plan
  • Identifying and proposing alternative or multiple suppliers as required by the business
  • Designing and maintaining Aegros’ procurement processes and procedures necessary for the timely, safe, compliant, and financially optimum supply
  • Effectively collaborating and co-ordinating with various departments including Engineering, RAQA, R&D, Therapeutics, Aegros Membrane Systems, Finance, Legal, IT, HR and Administration
  • Managing Supply Chain Operations related projects as allocated
  • Proposing and implementing cost reduction and efficiency improvements plans
  • Managing and leading the Supply Chain Operations Team including all activities associated with team management
  • Ensuring all Aegros Intellectual Property is protected
  • Capturing and disseminating supply chain market intelligence and insights as required
  • Training and identifying development needs and facilitating training to team members
  • Other Duties as requested.

What we would expect from you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • 5-10 years’ experience in management of warehousing, logistics, waste disposal and other Supply Chain functions
  • Knowledge of GMP manufacturing environment (Sterile experience preferred) in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology or other related industries
  • Working knowledge of Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Applicable Standard Operating Procedures, Safety and Security procedures
  • Team leadership experience
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
